Help Lex Get a Reliable Car for a Brighter Future

My name is Lex and I am requesting community support to help me raise a small amount of money to get a car. My goal is to get a car for $6,000, preferably less, and use the remaining money to register the car and put necessary down payments for insurance, license plates, etc.

After moving out west 3 years ago due to needing housing and having an opportunity here, I have struggled to get my feet steady due to having to leave or get rid of over 98% of my belongings. I didn't even have the proper clothes when I arrived. My excellent credit took a hit as well, and I've spent the last 3 years working as hard as I can to raise it.

Due to poor public transportation where I live, my job prospects are extremely limited. I've been spending the last 2 years as an Americorps to have an opportunity to break into a field I had been wanting to move into for several years, but as the end of my second term approaches, my job prospects are extremely limited again unless I can obtain a car. I have a handful of health issues that has made it so physically I cannot rely on public transportation, and even if I could, where I live is not transportation heavy, thus making it difficult to get around. I have several appointments I have to go to for a mysterious health issue u have been trying to solve with my doctor over the last year, some appointments of which I have to post pone or take off work if I cannot secure a ride.

I have raised my credit over 150 points in the last few years but still am being denied for the ability to get a loan to get a new car. I would like to raise about $6,000.00 to be able to get a cheap and reliable used car, and hopefully cover the license plate and tab registrations as well. I have been lucky enough to borrow a car to use or get rides from coworkers, but these aids will either be coming to an end or becoming more limited for me to be able to work, network, find future work, and perform money saving measures. I am a financially responsible person but I need this extra push to help me out.

I have a hard time asking for help of this caliber, so this was very hard for me to do. Please donate if you can and share with trusted folks who may also be willing and able to help out. I am thankful to everyone who has helped me try to make it work without a car and supported me up until this point. I hope to not be as much of a burden on those supporting me if I can get a car and repay it by giving back to my community on a higher caliber than I am now.
