Our world changed in an instant. My husband, Lewis "Doc" Canaday, was recently diagnosed with Type 2 Renal Cell Carcinoma, a serious form of Kidney Cancer. As we navigate the fear and uncertainty ahead of us with this unexpected diagnosis, we are also facing an overwhelming financial burden that no one is ever fully prepared for.

Lewis is not only a loving husband, but is also the strongest person I have ever met. He is my rock, but now he is fighting the toughest battle of his life.

The road ahead includes multiple medical appointments, treatments, and surgical procedures. His doctors are discussing cryoablation and the possibility of removing his kidney. While we are fully committed to this fight, the financial strain is real, including medical bills, travel to treatment centers, and the loss of income while Lewis is unable to work.
