Help Support Levi – Our Neighborhood’s Beloved Orange-Collar Cat
Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out for help for Levi, my 2-year-old tabby who many of you may already recognize. He’s the friendly cat often seen around the neighborhood wearing his orange blinking LED collar, happily making his rounds.
Levi is more than just my cat—he’s truly part of this community. He loves people, greets neighbors for pets and scratches, and even enjoys walking alongside neighborhood dogs. He and his “brother” (a dog!) are often seen out together, which always makes people smile.
Levi’s story started at Burlington Animal Shelter, where I adopted him as a tiny, very sick one-pound kitten. With care and time, he grew into the healthy, active, and loving cat everyone knows today.
Levi came from a litter of six kittens. Sadly, his siblings later became very ill and passed away from a serious virus. Because I brought Levi home about a week earlier, he was able to avoid that illness. He is the only surviving kitten from his litter.
He’s a classic orange tabby—funny, social, and full of personality—and he truly seems like he’s here for a reason.
Levi does have a neurological behavioral condition that requires daily medication to keep him stable and happy. When we tried taking him off his medication, he was not himself. Staying on treatment is essential for his well-being.
I’m currently living on disability income (about $1,100/month), and after rent and basic expenses, I’m struggling to keep up with Levi’s ongoing care.
Levi is an established patient at Banfield Pet Hospital with Dr. Griffin, and he’s been receiving consistent veterinary care since I brought him home.
Here’s a breakdown of his monthly care:
- Gabapentin (behavior medication): $30
- Calming treats: $15
- Vitamin supplements: $15
- Vet-recommended food: $26
- Miscellaneous treats: $18
- Flea prevention: $13
- Pet insurance: $35
Total monthly cost: about $152
I’ve reached out to low-cost vet options, but haven’t been able to get the help we need. I hate asking, but I can’t do this alone anymore.
Levi brings so much joy to this neighborhood, and I just want to keep him healthy, safe, and able to continue being the happy, social cat everyone loves.
If you’re able to help—even a few dollars—it would truly mean the world to us. And if you can’t donate, sharing this page would help more than you know.
Thank you for caring about Levi ❤️
