My name is Levi, and I’m 21 years old. I’ve spent my life overcoming challenges, growing up in foster care and working hard to build a future for myself. I’m a musician, and I’ve always believed I could beat the odds. I managed to get my own apartment, stay out of trouble, and keep moving forward despite losing my mom at a young age. But now, I’m facing something I never expected—a brain tumor that’s causing violent, frequent seizures and putting my life at risk every day.
The seizures have made it difficult to keep my job and manage daily life. I’ve had episodes on public transportation and struggle to get understanding from managers and staff at work. My insurance has denied me repeatedly, and every dollar I have goes toward rent, food, and expensive medication. With the state of healthcare right now, I’m worried I won’t be able to get Medicaid, and the cost of surgery is overwhelming. I plan to schedule the surgery as soon as I can raise enough funds, because waiting any longer is dangerous for my health and safety.
Through all of this, my girlfriend has been my rock. She’s helped me find hope and reassurance, even as I face the reality of surgery and the changes it will bring. I know asking for help is hard, but I simply want to live. Your support—whether through donations or sharing my story—means the world to me. I’ve fought hard to get this far, and I’m not ready to give up. Thank you for helping me keep going.
