Hi, my name is Brooke, and I’m a mom to three beautiful children including my son, Levi.
Levi is four years old, and he is one of the strongest little boys I know. He came into this world fighting from the very beginning. Levi was born extremely premature at just 23 weeks gestation, and from the moment he arrived, he has shown more strength than most of us will ever have to. Since being released from the NICU, Levi has been in physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy—working so hard every single day to grow, learn, and keep up with the world around him. From the outside, you might see his sweet smile and playful spirit—but behind that, Levi faces daily challenges. He struggles with balance, walking safely (especially on stairs), and navigating the world in a way that feels steady and secure. On top of that, he is on the autism spectrum, which can make everyday moments feel overwhelming. As his mom, my heart is constantly in two places; so proud of how hard he tries… and quietly worried about how I can make the world safer and easier for him. After a lot of research and conversations, we’ve realized that a service dog could truly change Levi’s life.
Not just as a companion but as real, physical and emotional support.
A trained service dog could:
* Help stabilize him while walking and navigating stairs
* Provide grounding and comfort during overwhelming moments
* Help keep him safe in situations where awareness and balance are a concern
* Give him a sense of independence that he deserves to experience
This isn’t about getting a pet.
This is about giving Levi a tool that could help him move through life with more confidence, safety, and freedom.
The reality is service dogs are incredibly expensive. Between training, medical care, and proper placement, the cost is something we simply can’t carry alone.
And if I’m being honest… asking for help is not easy for me. But Levi is worth stepping outside of my comfort zone.
If you feel led to give, share, or support us in any way, we are so deeply grateful. Every bit goes toward helping Levi gain something so many of us take for granted—stability, safety, and independence.
And if you can’t give, please know that your prayers, encouragement, and sharing this mean just as much to us.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for being a part of Levi’s journey.
With love,
Brooke
