In 2017, Dad was diagnosed with Stage 4 colorectal cancer. He went through heavy rounds of chemo followed by radiation, and for years we were so thankful he was in remission. Sadly, in 2023, his cancer returned with full force and has spread to his liver and surrounding areas. The doctors say he is unique in that it is not only one cancer but two different types of cancers. The doctors have a game plan that involves palliative radiation followed by chemo/immunotherapy. While Dad's cancer is treatable, unfortunately, it is not curable.
If you know Dad, you know he's kind of like a burnt marshmallow—tough and charred on the outside and soft and gooey on the inside. Dad never does anything half-assed; he's all in or not at all. He believes in family, freedom, and fun. He loves spending time with his family, friends, and especially his granddaughters. His hope is to simply be around to share those precious moments. Beyond his family, Dad's passions are cranes, hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling.
Levi has always been a fighter, but unfortunately, this time has made it impossible to work, although he tried. He worked up until June of 2025 just by sheer determination. We are raising funds to help with the day-to-day expenses and out-of-pocket medical expenses so that he can focus on what matters most. Any support, whether through donation or sharing this page, means the world to our family. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping us give Levi comfort, peace of mind, and more precious moments with those he loves.
