Help Letom Access Life-Saving Treatment for Kidney Cancer
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Kelly Foley, and I'm reaching out to share a difficult situation involving a friend and classmate. I recently completed an online course to become a certified life coach, where I met around 20 other participants. Early on, I was paired with a gentleman by the name of Letom Nwate, with whom I practiced coaching skills. Letom is a native Nigerian, but has currently been living in war torn Ukraine (Kiev). He has recently been diagnosed with kidney cancer. Despite the dangers of war, logistical issues, and his serious health challenges, Letom joined and participated in our Zoom meetings. While practicing our coaching sessions his presence always brought compassion, kindness, and the most genuine 'love from the heart.” I've discovered first hand his modesty and selflessness, along with his unwavering desire to help others despite the heartbreaking and chronically painful nature of this cancer.
Letom urgently needs an expensive immunotherapy treatment that could be vital to his recovery. Unfortunately, his circumstances limits his ability to earn money and access the medical care he needs. Recently he managed to get back to Nigeria, where he knows the language and can be with family and friends, while his wife and 4 year old daughter remain in Ukraine. The picture above was taken while Letom and his wife were traveling to Germany so Letom could catch a flight to Nigeria.
I am asking for your kindness and generosity in contributing to Letom's treatment fund. Every donation, no matter how small, will make an impact. Immunotherapy lasts at least 10 months and costs about $4,000 a month. Letom has $10,000 and needs to raise about $30,000 more. The funds collected will be put into my bank account in Arkansas, U.S.A. and will be transferred to his account in Ukraine on a weekly basis.
