Just recovering from open-heart surgery, now living on batteries. With the healthcare changes, I no longer have transportation to my appointments. I have to make these appointments if I want to continue to get better to get a new heart. I hate to have to even create this, but it’s becoming harder and harder and a strain on my family to be able to do these things. I'm able to drive, and this would lessen the help I need, allowing me to use the help in places I really need. Starting over is tough. I haven’t lived in my own place for some time. I appreciate anything that can help. I'm paying for medical expenses and medication, sometimes paying to go back and forth to Henry Ford for my cardiac care. I'm putting my pride aside and asking for help.
