Help Leslie Rebuild After Hurricane Helene

Hello, I am Leslie Sullivan and I have survived through Hurricane Helene with my Bulldog Valkyrie, however my home and car were destroyed by flood waters on Thursday Sept 26th in Hillsborough County in Ruskin, FL. By midnight on Thursday I had to walk out of my trailer park (car was not starting) in waste deep water with my dog in tow inside a kayak, with my personal belongings in my backpack. I am still in shock through the dramatic experience it has been a nightmare.

Upon returning the next day, the water receded however my car was flooded up to the seats, and my trailer floor is completely destroyed. Kind neighbors and family helped me pull all the carpets up to expose the damage of soft mushy swollen particle board. We had no water or power to the trailer park but I able to use my Dads generator to power fans to start the drying process and salvage what I could.

It is now Saturday evening and still no power or water to the park and anticipated time frame for their return. 'Feeding Tampa' came through today with bottled water and canned goods, for which we were all very grateful.

It is very difficult for me to reach out and ask for donations but I am desperate to repair the trailer and have my home back. I need funds for new sub floor, flooring, wall replacement and labor. I appreciate any kindness you can offer at this time.
