Help Leslie Martin Rebuild After Car Fire
Donation protected
- It is with a sad and discouraged heart that I’m reaching out to ask the public for help. On October 25, 2024, due to a very unexpected and frightening incident, my daughter Leslie Martin and her son lost quite a bit in a car fire. While driving down the highway in DeRidder, Louisiana, her vehicle lost power. Not knowing what was happening or why, Leslie and her husband Kyle quickly pulled over to the shoulder of the road. To their surprise, the car was in flames. Leslie was frantic, wanting to grab all she could. Her husband had to pull her away from the burning vehicle before it exploded. Unfortunately, Leslie was unable to grab any of her personal belongings, not even her phone. Leslie lost all her ID, all her debit cards, phone, clothes, her son Easton's tablet, his car seat, and much more!
- Leslie left Jasper after the passing of her son Weston to better her and her other son's life. Leslie started from scratch, put in the work, and managed to build a life for herself away from the place that kept dragging her down. Leslie was so determined that she would ride buses and walk to work in Houston, TX. When she was finally able to get her dream car, she was ecstatic and so proud of her accomplishment! It really meant the world to her! However, losing her car due to a spontaneous combustion and losing her phone, her debit, bank cards, and ID, she is unable to access her bank account, her email, or access anything for that matter. Leslie did have insurance, but it’s only going to cover the cost of what was owed on the vehicle. Just having had it inspected two days before the incident, she is in complete and utter shock and is worried about how she is going to make it in Houston, with her now having two jobs and Easton. With her son attending school and daycare, and the rent, utilities, groceries, she has no clue how she will be able to manage to afford everything she lost! One of those being another means of transportation!
- If anyone, anyone at all wouldn’t mind helping by donating anything, anything at all; she would be more than thankful! She’s feeling really discouraged, tired, and drained after working so hard to get her life together for her and her little family! Her goal is just to raise enough to help her get into another vehicle and replace some of the things she has lost! Many, many thanks to everyone and God bless everyone! Stay safe!
