Hi, My name is Leslie Cassidy. I am a mom of 2 boys and a cat. I was recently diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer which has spread to my lungs and bones. Unfortunately I can no longer work and my insurance is no longer in effect because it was paid by my company. My income has been reduced to social security disability which doesn't begin until December and will not be enough to cover all of my bills and medical expenses. I am creating this GoFundMe to help pay for my medical expenses and bridge the gap to when my disability begins.

What's wrong:

First and foremost, cancer. The cancer is causing fluid to build up in the area surrounding my lungs, making it very difficult to breathe. Because of this, I am on oxygen 24/7. I have a pleural catheter placed to alleviate the discomfort caused by the fluid buildup which is drained daily by my son, Michael. My other son, Travis is a full time student at a university in Orlando and tries to visit every other week to help with things around the house.
