Hi, I’m Leslie. Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve dreamed of becoming a doctor. This fall, I’ll be attending college as a first-generation student after graduating as my high school’s valedictorian. I was accepted into a highly competitive 8-year B.S. to M.D. program that offers a guaranteed pathway to medical school. While many aspiring doctors spend years applying to medical schools or take gap years before being accepted, I’ve been given this incredible opportunity at just 18 years old. It’s a dream come true, but it’s also a significant financial commitment.

Despite scholarships and financial aid, my family and I still can’t afford the full cost of tuition, housing, and the everyday essentials I’ll need to succeed in college. I also don’t have a laptop, which is essential for my studies. Donations will go toward tuition, housing, books, a laptop, and everyday essentials needed to succeed in college. Any donation, no matter the amount, helps lift that burden and allows me to focus on becoming the physician I’ve worked so hard to become.
