My beautiful stepmother Leslie, her husband Phil, and their beloved dog Murphy lost everything due to flooding from Hurricane Helena in Ashe County, NC. Praise God they are all alive! Les jumped out the window of the house as it collapsed and was rescued by a brave man downstream who risked his life to save her.

As we all know, flood insurance is difficult to obtain if you're in an at-risk area, so there will be no insurance money to help them rebuild. They currently have the clothes on their backs and their cars that were parked on higher ground. There is nothing left. These are wonderful, loving, generous folks who would give the shirt off their back to you if you needed it. Let's rally around them and show them that same love and generosity!
