Hi everyone,
I'm writing this on behalf of my beloved family member, Leslee Emperingham, of Regina, Saskatchewan. Our family is going through an incredibly difficult time, and we're reaching out for support, love, and hope.
Leslee is 54 years old — a parent to three children, a step-parent to two more, and a proud grandparent. They are someone who deeply cherishes family, life, and the possibility of watching her loved ones grow, thrive, and build futures of their own.
On June 27, 2025, after feeling unwell for a very long time, Leslee was finally convinced to go to the hospital. What followed was something none of us were prepared for. After being heavily sedated, Leslee woke up to devastating news. Her liver had completely stopped functioning. The doctors diagnosed it as end-stage liver failure and gave Leslee just 3 to 6 months to live.
It has now been close to 6 months.
Despite the grim prognosis, Leslee is determined to keep fighting. We’re doing everything we can to help her have a second chance at life — but time is running out. It's heartbreaking, especially considering the progress she has made and her will to live.
We’ve started researching options for a liver transplant abroad, where she may have a better chance. Unfortunately, the costs are overwhelming. A transplant outside of Canada could cost between $55,000 and $70,000 USD, not including travel, accommodations, or other necessary medical expenses.
We’re turning to you — our community, friends, extended family, and kind strangers — to help us raise the funds that could save Leslee’s life. Every donation, big or small, brings us closer to giving Leslee a future. A future with her children and grandchildren. A future filled with the everyday moments that many of us take for granted.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for taking the time to read this, for sharing, and for any support you can offer. We are so grateful.
Any unused funds will be either returned to the donors or donated to charity.
With love and hope,
Clayton Miller
