Help LES Clear $8,000 Lunch Debt

For those of you that don’t know, my kids attend a school in the local community that is a designated Title 1 school.

It is an INCREDIBLE place with the most amazing teachers, staff, and children... but it doesn’t come without its shortfalls, especially in terms of funding.

We moved a MOUNTAIN for teachers at our school this winter and I am humbly coming to you again as we wrap up the school year.

The school has been sending out so many emails and Remind messages regarding lunch account balances that it dawned on me this morning... it must be for a reason.

So I called the school. The outstanding balance was so high that she didn’t even want to tell me the number...

They have an outstanding balance on their lunch account of over $8,000.

This seems insurmountable, impossible.

But I know in my heart that even if we can’t clear it out, we can make a dent.

Without outside help, they will need to cut access to other programs, clubs, and resources for the children of the school and it could impact so many areas... $8,000 is a HUGE part of their budget and I can’t imagine not asking you all for help.

Due to the amount needed, I have created this GoFundMe page, just so there are no worries about the validity or where the money is headed and who has access. Once the goal is reached, I will be in contact with the school board to get a check to them directly so it never touches the hands of anyone else.
