Thank you for your time, consideration, and donation. I will give you the reason for this GoFundMe, but first, a bit about me. I taught out of college, then stopped and raised kids, sold real estate, and enjoyed life. Never too far from a classroom and always helping at school. In 2019, tragedy struck and one of my 19-year-old twin girls died suddenly from a ventricular brain hemorrhage. We were all devastated. A year after she passed, I received a call from the sister of a former student asking if I would be interested in teaching again.

I was. I interviewed and was hired on the spot. These precious children that I teach saved me. I think this job was a gift from my angel.

Teaching is not without its challenges. I was diagnosed with pneumonitis, an inflammation in my lungs, over a year and a half ago. This caused me to be placed on oxygen 24/7. I have a large oxygen concentrator and a 50ft hose at school so that I may continue to teach. I love my students and teaching that much. As long as I can, I will continue to teach.

This GoFundMe is to enhance my classroom. If you know me, you know I don’t ask for things, this time I am. I, like many other teachers, pay for a lot of things in their classrooms. This want is a little too big for my teacher budget so I thought I would ask for help. I want to purchase work tables and chairs for my classroom. I am a science and project-based teacher. I want to give my classroom a lab kind of feel. The tables are on wheels. They are adjustable, have a solid wood top, and have the ability to provide power. The stools have a 360-degree seat.

The flexibility of these tables and chairs are endless in their combinations for collaborative work.
