Leonidas Hassett is Crystal and Robert Hassett’s 13-month-old son, a bright and curious little boy whose smile lights up every room. At an age when most children are learning to walk and talk, Leonidas is facing a challenge no child should have to endure: he was recently diagnosed with kidney cancer. His medical team has recommended 19 weeks of radiation treatment as the best chance to stop the disease and give him a healthy future. The emotional and financial weight of this diagnosis is enormous, and Crystal’s family is doing everything possible to stay strong for Leonidas.

Radiation for a child this young requires constant monitoring, specialized pediatric oncology care, and weekly hospital trips. The costs are rising quickly, with expenses for treatment, medications, follow-up imaging, travel and lodging for appointments, and supportive therapies. On top of these medical needs, the family is facing lost income while caring for Leonidas and trying to keep their household together.
