For the past seven years, I have been fighting congestive heart failure. Five years ago, my kidneys failed as a result of my heart condition, and I was put on dialysis. I currently go to dialysis three days a week for four hours each session. Recently, I was placed on the kidney transplant list, and after a recent hospital admission, I learned that my heart failure has progressed. Now, I am also on the heart transplant list. My heart function is at a dangerously low 10%, and I wear a Zoll heart management system to monitor my heart and lungs because I am retaining a dangerously large volume of fluid. I am in desperate need of both a heart and kidney transplant to have a chance at a healthier future.

Due to recent cuts to Medicaid and Medicare, my insurance is not covering everything I need. The funds collected will go directly to cover the cost of medication, travel to and from medical facilities, and help with other medical bills I have incurred since my disability, as I can no longer work. This journey has been incredibly challenging, but I am determined to keep fighting with the support of my loved ones and community.

I want to thank everyone for their continuous support. My supporters know how important my family and friends are to me and how full of life I have always been. There isn't anything I wouldn't do for anyone. I have always been strong and independent, but this illness has taken a toll on me financially, emotionally, and physically. I just want to say I love you all and thank you for standing by my side during this difficult time.
