Help Leonard & Chris Bumpus

Leonard Bumpus was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer in June 2021. He started chemo therapy shortly after and still continued to work through it until February of this year when things quickly progressed and his cancer metastasized to his bones, blood and stomach. It has now affected almost every area of his body including his throat. His doctor estimates he has a month to live. Unable to eat much or swallow, taking medications is almost impossible but God willing, we are trying the last medical resort which includes a treatment and medication. His wife Chris is taking care of him full time, with the potential of in-home assisted care as well.

Leonard is not only a husband, father and grandfather, but has also been a mentor to so many over decades. As an honored wrestling coach for over 30 years and a youth pastor & counselor to countless individuals, he has changed the lives of those all around him. He has always been one of the strongest toughest people we know, but with a gentle heart. Leonard and Chris have selflessly put others needs above their own whether it’s a home cooked meal, a roof over someone’s head or simply just being there for whatever you need. All we want to do is be able to give back and take care of them now.

With Leonard unable to work, medical care has quickly become a huge financial burden. The upcoming procedures are estimated to be $12,000+ a month on top of all they have already incurred this past year. If you feel led to give towards this cause, any amount is a tremendous blessing for Leonard and Chris and will go directly to the medical cost and coverage for treatments/care and their survival. We know he means a great deal to many of his friends and family and we will continue to provide any updates.
