My name is Leona, and I’ve called my apartment home for the past 16 years. Recently, I received a 3-day notice to pay or quit, and I have nowhere else to go. This has been an incredibly stressful and frightening time for me, especially since the FTB placed a levy on my paycheck a couple of months ago. Because of this, my income is much less than it used to be, making it even harder to keep up with rent and other essentials. At 61 years old, I’m doing everything I can to stay afloat and maintain the stability I’ve worked so hard for over the years.
