Life changes in an instant. Leona’s elderly parents, Erma and Bo Bounds, were in a horrible automobile accident on December 17, 2021. The accident left Bo very bruised and Erma with many broken body parts that have since required multiple painful and terrifying surgeries.

Leona and her family have been by her parents’ sides every hour since. Everyone has missed work and sleep.

Bo came home to recover and was doing well while Erma remained hospitalized over Christmas. Bo saw Erma on Christmas.

January 1, Bo was admitted with Covid! On January 7th, the hospital team managed to get them together to see each other. Even during all of this the Bounds family has been by their parents’ sides the entire time.

On January 10th, dearest father Bo Bounds passed away from Covid.

Mom Erma remains hospitalized at the moment but ready for rehab.

The physical and emotional turmoil has taken a deep toll and Leona’s friends want to help her financially since she has missed so much work and now she must bury her father.
