Help Leon Get Through Bacterial Meningitis

Two weeks ago Leon was not feeling well. He went to his doctor and they prescribed him medicine for a common cold. After a few days of no improvement, he went to the Emergency Room where they diagnosed him with a respiratory infection. They gave him some meds and sent him on his way. After a few more days the pain in his body and head was unbearable so he went back to the hospital. It was at that time they discovered he has bacterial meningitis that has unfortunately spread to his brain and spinal cord. For a little while he could not remember who he was and was in and out of being able to speak. Thank god he is doing slightly better but he is not out of the woods yet. He is still in ICU and once he is stable for a few days he will be moved to another room and then eventually into an outpatient rehab facility where he will undergo several treatments. Leon is one of the kindest people and an extremely hard worker for the City of Tampa. He and his wife have been out of work for several weeks. Let's band together and help them get through this extremely painful and challenging time. Thank you so much!
