Help Leon and Valentina recover from cancer

Hi

My name is Nebojsa, I set up this for my sister Valentina and nephew Leon.

Valentina was still in her 30's when she was diagnosed with tumor of the ovaries,which was surgically removed along with her uterus in 2015. This is when her life changed dramatically and her personal and family struggle began. A few years later in 2020,during a routine check-up,a tumor was detected on Valentina's left breast and she had total mastectomy,followed by chemotherapy and radiation.

In the same year,her eight year old son Leon was diagnosed with a lymphoma and primary immunodeficiency disease. He underwent three surgeries in the same period as his mother,which caused a lot of anxiety and stress for the entire family. Following the second surgery,chemotherapy was introduced. Leon now receives monthly immunoglobulin therapy and he is scheduled to travel to clinic in Slovenia in early 2022 to have further genetic tests done, while still hoping to return and rejoin his friends as soon possible.

Unfortunately, just when Valentina thought things were getting better for her and her family, a specialist in charge of her treatment advised her to have a total mastectomy of her right breast as well as a precautionary measure due to her high risk of triple-negative breast cancer. Valentina followed her doctor's advice and had this procedure carried out in September of this year. This was followed by a breast reconstruction surgery and PET scans. Since this kind preventive treatment is not covered by national health service in Serbia, the family were forced to pay for the treatment themselves.

Exhausted from their emotional and physical struggles, Valentina and Leon now face a long road to recovery and as their friends, we are humble asking for your support in helping this wonderful family cover the cost of their current treatment and further therapies.
