My name is Shawn and I am trying to help Leola and provide her with assistance as she deals with the aftermath of her husbands recent surgery.

Her husband, Sam, has had several medical setbacks this year, including the loss of the lower portion of his remaining leg, which culminated with this latest one. He had an infection in his spine that spread to several of his cervical vertebrae. In order to treat this infection surgery was required that could not be done locally. Arrangements were made and he was able to be transferred to a Hospital that had the necessary facilities as well as the specialists who could perform the surgery.

The surgery was a success and his prognosis is good, however, the facility is far from their home and he will have to undergo several months of rehabilitation before he can released. Leola has tried to stay nearby so she could be with him and be by his side, both for herself as well as for Sam.

Unfortunately the Hospital doesn't have a program or facilities where she can stay, she has, and will have to, pay for a room in order to remain by his side and to aid in his recovery. I want to help defray those expenses so there is one less thing she has to worry about while Sam heals.
