Help Leo with Bills and Healing

My name is Flor Ovalle, i am the sister of Aurelio (Leo) Ovalle, as many of you may know him as. Sadly my brother has suffered an imaginable injury at work and we are trying to raise funds for his medical bills and everything after. Any amount of help, and prayers will be extremely appreciated. He is a very well loved and known guy who for very many years has offered his help to anyone in need. He is a very hard working man and sadly he is currently in the ICU at St Mary's Medical Center Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia, and will be there for the foreseeable future due to his injuries. Anything contributed including thoughts and prayers is so appreciated by us. Updates will be provided to this GoFundMe as he progresses with his new future. The money raised will go directly to Leo for bills and anything he may need. We are all very saddened however we do remain very hopeful and faithful that Leo will have a full recovery. Once more i ask to keep him and our entire family in your prayers.

My brother suffered a fall at work, he fell 40 feet high. And he landed as if he had been standing. His right leg is the one that is most damaged, tomorrow he will be seen by an orthopedic surgeon and will determine what steps should be followed. His left arm is also fractured, and once the orthopedist also sees him, he will be operated on. He is out of the ventilator and breathes and talks on his own. Thank God! He is able to move his toes.

Lamentablemente, mi hermano ha sufrido una lesión imaginable en el trabajo y estamos tratando de recaudar fondos para sus facturas médicas y todo lo demás. Leo was seen by the orthopedic surgeon today, and his recommendation was amputation of below the knee, because Leo is Lucid and able to speak his answer is taken into consideration and we will be searching for other options, as Leo is declining an amputation.

Leo fue visto por el cirujano ortopédico hoy, y su recomendación fue la amputación de debajo de la rodilla, porque Leo es lúcido y capaz de hablar, su respuesta se tiene en cuenta y buscaremos otras opciones, ya qe Leo rechaza la opcion de amputacion.

I'm very happy to say that i am sitting in-front of my brother. He got surgery on his left arm yesterday, and as of today he got what is called a washout of his right leg, basically a surgeon goes in to see more or less the extend of the injury. The right leg injury is the most important of all, Where there is a portion of bone missing, However his pelvis will be operated on Monday, to correct the ‘open book’ fracture. He is remaining as positive and faithful, and most of all asking for everyone’s prayers!

Estoy muy feliz de decir que estoy sentada frente a mi hermano. Ayer le operaron el brazo izquierdo, y a partir de hoy se hizo lo que se llama un lavado de la pierna derecha, básicamente un cirujano entra para ver más o menos la extensión de la lesión. La lesión de la pierna derecha es la más importante de todas, donde falta una parte del hueso, sin embargo, su pelvis será operada el lunes, para corregir la fractura del "libro abierto". ¡Se mantiene tan positivo y fiel, y sobre todo pidiendo las oraciones de todos!

Leo got surgery to fix his pelvic fracture today, he has been in a lot of pain, as anyone would be with surgery. It has been a bit difficult for him to eat bc when you eat your belly expands and with having the external fixator it was hurting him. However he did get that removed today and hopefully it will be easier for him to eat now. Leo remains with a very positive attitude as all of us. We will continue to share his updates and ask for donations and prayers! Please keep us in your mind and prayers!!

Leo fue operado para arreglar su fractura pélvica hoy, ha estado sufriendo mucho, como cualquiera con cirugía. Ha sido un poco difícil para él comer porque cuando comes tu barriga se expande y con tener el fijador externo le estaba haciendo daño. Sin embargo, se lo quitaron hoy y espero que sea más fácil para él comer ahora. Friends and family. I would like to update you to let you all know that my brother is now in Houston, where he will be viewed by a limb salvage specialist for his right leg if anybody would like the address or information regarding where you would be able to visit him please send me a direct message and would be more than happy to be able to let you know of a further information.
