Hello, my name is Lily, and I have a pitbull/Lab mix dog named Leo. We don’t know his exact birthday, but he is about seven years old, and he is a rescue animal. We rescued him when he was just a puppy from a very abusive home.

He has recently been unable to walk on his back left leg from unknown causes. We took him to the vet to get his blood, fecal matter, and ears tested, and it all came back normal except for an ear infection. The next week, we took him in for an X-ray, but the vet only looked at his chest, stomach, and spleen. That alone has already been a fortune for my mother and has already put a weight on our family.

While he was having his vet visits, he was still walking fine and eating more than he does now. Leo now will not go to his food and water bowl and has to be hand-fed and drink out of a cup. Because of that, he has lost a lot of weight. Just between the two vet appointments, that were a few days apart, he lost 5 pounds. We have to help him get on and off the bed because of his leg. We need to take him back to the vet to get more X-rays, and depending on those results, he might need surgery. If you can donate, it would be most helpful to my family and to my baby boy Leo.
