Give Leo a Second Chance at Life

Hi all, my name is Katrina and I’m making this GoFundMe for my beloved cat, Leo. He unfortunately was hit by a car on my private road and now needs an amputation. I found him trying to drag himself home in excruciating pain.

We brought him to Beacon Valley Animal Hospital (a great place) and they gave us some options. They said that they could try and fix his leg, but the probability of it succeeding is very low due to the area of the break and how it was broken. The bone is very fragile and splintered, and trying to fix it wouldn’t be guaranteed and would cost him even a greater deal of pain that I don’t want him to go through. He’s been through enough.

My family and I are completely distraught over the situation. We’ve had Leo since he was about 5 weeks old. My father saved him from an unfortunate situation and we nursed him back to health. He is now 10 years old and having to deal with this. He’s had a rough start to life, but he’s a fighter and the fight continues on. I’m not one to usually ask for help with things; normally, we just figure it out. But recently, my family has hit a rough spot. My father recently was laid off from work, and we’re all tight on cash right now.

It breaks our hearts that he is going through such pain and won’t be able to be the cat he once was, but I’m eternally grateful that we have him home. All donations will be going towards his amputation/medication that will be happening on Tuesday.
