On Friday, August 29th, my son's partner, Leo (Kaelin Smith), was involved in a terrible car accident at the intersection of Wilbur and Highway 12. He was headed home from work and on his way to the fair with friends. He was struck on the driver's side by a truck going highway speed. Initially taken to a local hospital, he was life-flighted to Richland with several severe injuries. Thankfully, the life-threatening ones are not there anymore, but he is not out of the woods. He had a ruptured spleen ( removed), broken femur/hip, broken ribs- contused lungs, broken pelvis in the front and back, and possibly others- will know more after they do a more thorough evaluation.

Leo will need several more surgeries and months of rehab. We know it's a lot to ask, but any help towards medical bills would be greatly appreciated by their family.
