Hi, my name is Leo, and I’m a six-month-old yellow lab who’s been through more than any pup should ever face.

After a devastating house fire left my family without a home, I had no choice but to stay with someone my mom barely knew—because there was nowhere else to go. Sadly, instead of finding safety, I experienced terrible abuse. I suffered a broken femur, a swollen chest, and a very sore, injured face. Right now, I’m in a lot of pain, and my injuries are serious.

Thankfully, two kind and loving women stepped in to rescue me. They’re doing everything they can to keep me safe and get me the medical care I need. But my journey to healing isn’t easy—or cheap. The vets have said I need surgery to repair my leg, and the costs are overwhelming.
