Two years ago, my baby Leo was diagnosed with FIP and it was one of the hardest moments my family and I have had to face. Against all odds, my little Leo fought bravely and made a full recovery. We truly believed the worst was behind us.

Unfortunately, Leo has fallen ill once again. He has been diagnosed with an intra-abdominal mass and is in need of emergency veterinary care and surgery. He has been admitted to the hospital and is scheduled to undergo surgery very soon.

Leo is more than just a cat to my family and me. He came into our lives shortly after my grandmother passed away and became a source of comfort and love for us but especially for my mom during an incredibly painful time. He has been our constant companion and a true blessing to our family.

He’s recently been experiencing weight loss and a decreased appetite, which led to the discovery of his abdominal mass. Despite the toll it is taking on his body, he has remained alert, affectionate, and continues fighting through it just like he did before. We are holding onto the hope that with surgery and treatment, he can pull through once again.

The cost of emergency surgery, hospitalization, and medications is overwhelming, and despite doing everything we can, we cannot manage this alone. Any donation, no matter how small, or even just sharing this fundraiser, would mean a lot and helps give Leo a fighting chance with the care he urgently needs.

Hace dos años, a mi gatito Leo le diagnosticaron peritonitis infecciosa felina (PIF), y fue uno de los momentos más difíciles que mi familia y yo hemos tenido que afrontar. Contra todo pronóstico, mi pequeño Leo luchó con valentía y se recuperó por completo. Creíamos de verdad que lo peor había pasado.

Desafortunadamente, Leo ha vuelto a enfermar. Le han diagnosticado una masa intraabdominal y necesita atención veterinaria de urgencia y cirugía. Ha sido ingresado en el hospital y está programado para someterse a una operación muy pronto.

Leo es mucho más que un gato para mi familia y para mí. Llegó a nuestras vidas poco después del fallecimiento de mi abuela y se convirtió en una fuente de consuelo y amor para nosotros, pero sobre todo para mi madre, durante un momento increíblemente doloroso. Ha sido nuestro compañero inseparable y una verdadera bendición para nuestra familia.

Últimamente ha estado perdiendo peso y ha tenido menos apetito, lo que llevó al descubrimiento de la masa abdominal. A pesar del desgaste que le está causando, se mantiene alerta, cariñoso y sigue luchando, tal como lo hizo antes. Mantenemos la esperanza de que, con la cirugía y el tratamiento, pueda recuperarse una vez más.

El costo de la cirugía de emergencia, la hospitalización y los medicamentos es abrumador, y a pesar de hacer todo lo posible, no podemos afrontarlo solos. Cualquier donación, por pequeña que sea, o incluso simplemente compartir esta campaña de recaudación de fondos, significaría muchísimo y ayudaría a darle a Leo la oportunidad de luchar con la atención que necesita urgentemente.
