Help Leo get life-changing surgery

Hello, my name is Sana, and I'm fundraising for my dog Leo's surgery to give him a chance to walk and play pain-free again.

Leo has been diagnosed with luxating patellas in both knees, a condition where the kneecaps dislocate from their normal position. Luxating patellas are scored out of 3 on severity, unfortunately, both of Leo's knees are graded a 3. This causes him immense pain and makes it difficult for him to move around. Our veterinarian has recommended immediate surgery on both knees to correct this issue and give Leo a chance at a happy, healthy life.

Cost

The cost of the surgeries, including pre-surgery tests, post-operative care, and necessary medications, is estimated to be around £4,000-£5,250 per knee (depending on whether he has damage to his cruciate ligament) - we are able to get £1,850 of this covered by our insurance. As much as it breaks my heart to admit, this is an expense I cannot cover on my own. I am reaching out to the kindness and generosity of friends, family, and animal lovers to help raise the funds needed for these life-changing procedures. We are currently managing by keeping Leo on painkillers and limiting his physical activity.

Leo is not just any dog; he's a beloved by all who meet him, known and adored for his goofy personality and playful nature. His silly antics and adorable disposition have made him a favourite amongst many. Leo has an incredible ability to bring joy and laughter to those who meet him (mostly due to his ridiculously cute yet bizarre appearance), and his playfulness, loving personality and gentle heart.

Despite his current health challenges, Leo remains the same cheerful and loving dog we've all come to adore. The surgery in question has great outcomes for the dogs that undergo it, Leo is only 7 years old and his future will be a long, happy one once the surgeries are complete!
