Leo was born with torticollis, a condition that causes tightness in his neck muscles and makes it difficult for him to turn his head. Because of this, he naturally favors his left side, which has caused his head to become flat on one side. Since he was just 6 weeks old, Leo has been in physical therapy, and we’ve been faithfully doing his stretches and exercises at home every single day.
Despite all of our efforts, Leo still prefers his left side, and his doctor has recommended a cranial helmet to help gently reshape his head while he’s still growing. This helmet is medically necessary, but unfortunately, it is not covered by insurance.
We are trying to raise $1,500 to cover the cost of Leo’s helmet so he can have the best chance at healthy development and avoid future complications.
Any help would mean the world to our family. If you’re unable to donate, simply sharing Leo’s story would help us more than you know.
Thank you for taking the time to read about our little warrior.
With love,
Leo’s family
