Help Leo beat Cancer!
Donation protected

Dear friends, family, and pet lovers,
My heart has been breaking these last few weeks because my pupper Leo is sick. He has a tumor in his liver. It is suspected to be a carcinoma, which according to our vet is the most common type of liver cancer. Leo currently does not seem to be in any pain or discomfort, but the vet has told us that the tumor will continue to grow in size until it will eventually start to put pressure on all of his surrounding organs and cause him pain and organ failure.

A CT scan was done on February 7th, 2019 that determined that the tumor was operable. The scan also showed that he has a tumor growing on his throat. This tumor on his throat is benign but it is causing his calcium levels to rise very high which is bad for his kidneys.
The vet has strongly recommended surgery to remove both tumors at the same time. If both tumors are removed Leo could continue to live a full healthy life for another 5+ years! The estimate for the surgery is between $5,955 and $8,268.
Leo is my best friend and has been my constant companion since he was a puppy. I rescued him when he was 10 weeks old when I was still in college. He was my co-pilot when we drove across the country together to my first job after graduating. Three years later our family grew from just the two of us to four when Leo and I adopted my boyfriend Chris and our second pup Ami. Leo and Ami quickly bonded and our little family couldn't be happier.
Leo is a wonderful dog. He is very calm and gentle with all animals and children. He loves to snuggle and get pets and give kisses. Anywhere Leo goes he charms people with his loving nature.
Leo is now almost 10 years old, but he could live another 5+ years with this surgery.
We are so incredibly grateful to anybody who can donate even a little, or share this to friends and family. Leo means more than anything to us, and we aren't ready to say goodbye to him yet. With your help, that goodbye won't be for years to come.
Thank you for taking the time to help and support us!
With all of our love and gratitude,
Chelsea, Chris, Leo, and Ami
