Meet Leo (the brown pup) and Aela (the cow pup). Leo and Aela were "rehomed"(sold) to me because the person who "rescued" them couldn't keep them. She said she'd "given their shots", and they were "seen by a vet" prior. I didn't mind the fee because if someone pays for that, they're entitled to reimbursement. Well, turns out they're riddled with parvo, hookworm, and roundworm. Leo started throwing up so I took him to the vet this morning where they did tests for everything, and confirmed the worms and parvo. Leo is now fighting for his life and hanging on by a thread. Aela seems fine, but she's getting treated regardless and they're quarantined from each other. Once everything clears up, they're going back for vaccines and I'm hoping on everything Leo pulls through.

I'm on a fixed income due to having to care for my disabled son full time, and as everyone knows, vet bills are EXPENSIVE. I'm trying to recoup some of the funds from vet bills and have a little security fund in case anything else happens. I would like to biy 2 doses of Canine Parvovirus Monoclonal Antibody if my goal is met as it serves the absolute best chance of survival for them both. The injection plus treatment costs between $500-1000 per pup, so I'm rounding up to the higher end. Anything left over will go towards any other vet fees that may pop up, high quality food to help their stomachs stay settled, and even a mini shopping spree where they'll go to the pet store and pick out whatever toys and treats they want (once they've recovered and gotten their vaccines of course).

Leo & Aela are an extremely important part of our family and it's weighing heavily on us right now. We've gotten maybe 2-3 hours of sleep the past 3 days because we're terrified he'll die in his sleep. In a matter of 2 days, he went from a plump, happy pup to a sickly scrawny pup. I have a son with level 3 Autism who has bonded so deeply with Leo that keeping them separated is hard, but I know it's what's needed. My son just wants to hold his little shadow and cuddle like they're used to. But Leo is so frail now, that we just can't risk it. Leo & Aela were wronged by someone who should have helped them and been transparent about what was actually going on. Please, help me save them so we can go back to being a normal family.
