Lentil (aka Lenny, The Bean, Ms. Beans) is our 6-year-old, 70lb brown ham of a rescue mutt, and she’s been part of our family since she was just 10 months old. She’s the kind of dog who loves people more than she can handle—her affection is warm and very intense, and her personality is unforgettable. Lenny has the most expressive face, sighs like she means it, and has the softest ears ever made. Those of you who know her know she's not an "easy" dog, but if she loves you (and she will love you, immediately...forever...) ...oh man. It's fierce and the best kind of ridiculous. Len is an amazing, social, stubborn, loving, intelligent, perceptive, absolutely adorable mess of a very brown bean. She makes us laugh every day & we love her endlessly.

Recently, Lenny tore her cruciate ligament and now needs surgery, which is scheduled for 12/8/25. The cost is overwhelming (we were quoted $5400) and while we don’t expect to raise the entire amount, every little bit helps us get Lentil the care she needs.
