Hi everyone,

Our friend Lenny is currently detained and being held by ICE in Sarasota, Florida. Lenny came to the U.S. when he was 13 years old to pursue his passion for ballet, and has built his entire life and community here. Lenny is facing a long and complex immigration case that could end in the separation of his family and the life he has built here for over 15 years.

He is deeply loved by everyone who knows him and has made such a positive impact on his community, from his time with the Sarasota Ballet to the many lives he’s touched working in our local restaurant industry.

Lenny is the biggest supporter of all of his friends and never fails to make us laugh. He makes people feel seen and radiates so much positivity that guests return to the restaurant that he works at just to spend time with him and enjoy his conversation. He has a gift for connecting with people and his presence in all of our lives is so special, which is why his deportation would be devastating to everyone that knows him.

While his family and friends are providing as much support as we can, we are asking for any additional support possible to help cover his legal fees and ensure he has the representation he needs.

All funds raised will go directly toward legal fees and expenses to help Lenny and his partner, Gus, fight his case and bring him back home to their puppies, cats, friends, and entire life here in Sarasota.
