My name is Carlij Taylor and I am asking for help; something I am not too great at doing.

I'd like to lean into both my community of friends, likeminded big hearts, and the community of English Labrador lovers online that have gotten to know and love Lennon aka @therealtup over the past 10 years alongside me. Some of you are even fans of his from his TV commercials [iykyk].

Lennon is 10.5 years old and was healthy and happy up until this past June 2025 when he was diagnosed with E. Coli and an active UTI.

I noticed that he stopped wagging his tail and took him into VCA Mar Vista Emergency and had bloodwork and panels all ran. This was the only thing that came back positive. We treated him with 7 full days of antibiotics in early June. We then got the clear only to notice symptoms coming back gradually over the next few weeks.

Last month, in early August, we started going to Mar Vista Animal hospital on an almost weekly basis for the UTI, E. coli and now skin infection that is all over his body.

He is now seeing specialist at Access Culver City to get more answers as to what these infections are and we want to keep on trying.

Everyone who knows us, knows that he is everything to me.

He is really, loved by so many.

The time doesn't feel right and I know that I need to continue seeking out answers for him and give him my all.

I am asking for help because we need it.

I have Lennon going 24/7 to care including appointments, testing, oxygen and medications. We have a journey ahead of us to try to rid him of these progressive infections and get answers.

I aim for a couple more years ahead with him.
