Lennie is a five-month-old kitten with the biggest heart and the strongest spirit. Until very recently, she was a completely healthy, playful little girl—full of energy, curiosity, and kitten snuggles. In what felt like an instant, everything changed.

Lennie was diagnosed with Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP), a serious and aggressive disease caused by a mutation of the feline coronavirus. FIP can progress quickly and is known to be fatal if left untreated. In Lennie’s case, she developed the “wet” form of FIP, which can cause fluid to accumulate in the abdomen and chest.

During her diagnostic workup, 300 milliliters of fluid were aspirated from Lennie’s abdomen—an enormous amount for a kitten her size and a clear sign of how fast this can progress. Despite this, she continues to show us all how strong she is.

The good news is that FIP is no longer a guaranteed death sentence for cats. There is a proven antiviral treatment that can save Lennie’s life, but it requires a 12-week (84-day) course of medication, along with ongoing recheck blood work diagnostics. Unfortunately, this medication is not yet widely accessible, and so it comes at an extremely high cost.

We are raising funds to help cover:
• Lennie’s 12-week FIP antiviral medication treatment
• Routine bloodwork and rechecks to monitor her progress
• Supportive care to keep her comfortable and strong throughout her treatment as needed

Lennie is fighting this with everything she has. She still purrs, she still seeks out all of the snuggles, she likes to “yell” in excitement when it’s time to eat, and still reminds us daily that she wants to live. She is strong, she is loved, and she is absolutely worth the fight.

Every donation—no matter the size—goes directly toward giving Lennie the chance to grow up healthy and happy. If you’re unable to donate, sharing her story means the world to me.

Thank you so much for supporting Lennie and for being part of her fight.
