Help Lence and 46 families he employs rebuild
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Cerrone Dayo located in Somerset New Jersey and I am raising funds for the relief efforts and rebuilding efforts of my brother Lence Michael Dayo who has a small business that employs 46 families. This fundraising is to help him and the 46 families restore some normalcy in their lives as they navigate through the next months ahead. Physically no one was seriously injured, but the experience has caused trauma, as such, they are shattered emotionally while also rebuilding their homes that were destroyed at the same time.
On the night of December 16, 2021 a beast of a storm Typhoon Odette ravaged through my hometown the Province of Cebu and the Visayas Region. It was equivalent to a Category 5 storm when it first made landfall, packing sustained winds of up to 195 km (121 miles) per hour, causing widespread havoc, destroying homes and damaging major infrastructure. The challenge of the storms aftermath is the cleanup endeavor and restoring power in the Island, it is going to take a monumental effort to fully repair all the destruction the storm has left. Access to clean water and food will be critical in the next few days. The timing of this storm could not come at the worst time because traditionally it is a joyous time in the Philippines during Christmas season.
It is an unfortunate situation where we have to fundraise personally, the Philippines just does not have the same resources compared to other 1st world countries when there is natural calamity. There are several other fundraising efforts out there, you can certainly pick anyone to support and it will go a long way. If you have something to spare, your generous donations will benefit my brother Lence and the 46 families he employs.
Here are some images to give you a glimpse the rage of Typhoon Odette has brought to my brothers home and the homes of all affected by this horrendous storm.
Bless your heart and stay safe everyone!
