My name is Bryan and I am Lena's fiancé. Unfortunately, Lena was recently diagnosed with a very rare form of breast cancer. After more tests, scans, bloodwork, and biopsies than I can count, she is finally scheduled to have a double mastectomy performed on September 24th, with a reconstruction surgery to take place approximately six weeks later.

As many of you will know, Lena is an amazing esthetician and is a self-employed small business owner. She just recently opened her own studio in late 2024. This was a lifelong dream of hers and we poured everything we had into making it successful. Her heart and soul is in every detail of the space and her customers' experience.

One of the downsides of being self-employed is that you don't accumulate any paid time off. If you don't work, you don't get paid. Lena has pretty good health insurance, but the medical bills are still expensive. These expenses, combined with a lack of her normal income, will make things extremely difficult for us financially during her long recovery period. Even then, her first few weeks back to work will be limited.

We are hoping that our friends, family, and her dedicated clients, who she really cares about, will step up and help during this difficult period. We'll need your love and support.
