Hello! I'm Ashley! I'm organizing this GFM to help my wonderful friend Lena escape her abusive household. I'm organizing this for her mostly for convenience reasons. Every single dollar raised in this GFM will go to her for the purpose of escaping her abusive household. We also aren't exactly sure how much it will take to get her out, so the $5,000 is subject to change. Her description is below.

My name is Lena and I am a 33 year old trans woman living in the UK.

Since leaving university ten years ago, I have been unable to afford to move out of my family's house. Due to repeated patterns of abuse from my family members that continue to this day, I now live with severe trauma issues that impact my ability to function day-to-day.

I have tried to save every penny I can to move out while working as hard as I am capable of to maintain some kind of peace between my family and me, but at this point, I simply cannot remain in the same household as them. They are my abusers and it is not safe for me to be kept under their roof.

If there is any money at all you can spare, even if it's $1 or £1, you will help me a great deal towards raising the money to move me to a safer household.
