We’re going through an unexpected medical emergency with our sweet boy, Lemon. He was seriously injured and needs hip surgery. This has been incredibly hard on our family, emotionally and financially, especially after just closing on our home. We’ve set up a GoFundMe for anyone who feels called to help or share. Lemon has a long road to recovery ahead, but we are so grateful he’s still with us and for the doctors God gifted with the skill and compassion to take care of him. We truly appreciate the love, prayers, and support more than you know.
If you know Lemon, you know how much he loves to run and jump and HOW FAST he was! I’m praying I get to see my little boy running through the grass, along the ocean, down the hallway and most importantly the Oktoberfest Weiner dog race again for his 3-PEAT! What I would give to go back to each of these moments that felt so small and normal and were taken for granted.
We also want to share this as a PSA for anyone with dogs or kids: please secure oversized mirrors. While we were in the middle of moving, a large floor mirror was leaned against the wall and fell on Lemon. It was a freak accident, but one that could have been prevented. This is a guilt we’ll carry forever, and we hope sharing helps keep another family from experiencing the same pain. Thank you for holding Lemon in your thoughts and prayers and for any support you’re able to give. If you’re unable to donate, sharing Lemon’s story means the world to us and helps spread the word.
