Our amazing sister and aunt, Lemlem Metaferia, has always been the heart of our family: full of love, faith, strength, and kindness. Lemlem is a devoted wife to Benyam Admassu and a loving mom to three beautiful children: Meklit (14), Eden (12), and Baslel (10). For the last 10+ years, Lemlem has worked as a Nursing Assistant, a job she loves, pouring her heart into helping people in frail health. She truly viewed her work as a calling, an extension of her own home life, as she also cares for a special needs child at home.

Lemlem has served in her church choir and loves blessing others with her voice through solo singing. Her love for the Lord shines through everything she does.

In the fall of 2024, our lives took an unexpected and heartbreaking turn when Lemlem was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Since then, she has been undergoing rigorous treatment, taking every single day as it comes: grounded in faith and held by God’s grace.

Covering the staggering cost of continuous treatments, medication, and medical supplies has placed a heavy burden on Lemlem and Benyam. In recent months, Lemlem hasn’t been able to work due to the intensity and impact of treatment. We want to make sure she gets the best care possible without the added stress of financial hardship.
