My name is Stephanie, and I am reaching out for help for my beloved cat, Lem. We adopted Lem in 2021 when he was just 8 weeks old from a local rescue, and he has been a loved member of our family for 5 years. Lem brought so much joy and comfort to our lives, and he quickly became our big orange baby, weighing almost 15 pounds. Sadly, in May, Lem started having intermittent vomiting. After three vet visits, multiple labs, medications, and x-rays, we were referred for an ultrasound when no one could diagnose him and his symptoms had not resolved.

Yesterday, the ultrasound revealed a tumor in Lem’s small intestine measuring 2cm x 3cm. We were then referred to see an oncologist, and the plan is for tumor resection surgery, medications, and possible chemo and/or radiation. Lem’s condition has caused him to lose a significant amount of weight, and he is now down to 9.8 pounds. We have already spent $2,000 just to get to this diagnosis, and we know there is a long journey ahead. His first oncology appointment is next week, and we are doing everything we can to give Lem the best chance at a healthy life.
