Hi, I’m Lela Moore a devoted mother, Army veteran, and student who’s working to rebuild her life after a deeply emotional and unexpected crisis. I’m asking for your support as I work to reunite with my daughter and restore the stability our family once had.

In the spring of 2025, a serious family emergency changed everything. My daughter needed immediate medical attention, and I did everything I could to get her the care she needed. That experience led to a cascade of events that have since impacted my ability to remain with my children and continue my education.

After going back to Florida to a safer and more supportive environment with daycare, medical care, and a safety plan in place I was unexpectedly taken into custody and returned to North Carolina. As a result, I’ve been separated from my children, my mental health has suffered, and my educational progress has been put on hold.
