Help Me Keep My Home for My Children and I

My name is Lekeisha, and I never imagined I would be in a position where I needed to ask for help. As a single mother of three wonderful children, my greatest priority has always been providing them with a safe, stable home.

In May, I unexpectedly lost my job. Since then, I have been actively searching for employment, submitting applications, attending interviews, and doing everything I can to get back on my feet. Despite my efforts, I have not yet been able to secure a new position. As a result, I have fallen behind on my financial obligations and now face losing our home.

I have only a few days—possibly less—before my landlord takes possession of the property. The total amount needed is $5,000, which includes past-due rent, court costs, eviction filing fees, processing fees, and outstanding utility balances.

Asking for help is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do, but I am reaching out because I want to keep a stable home for my children while I continue working toward employment. This support would give us the opportunity to remain in our home and avoid the devastating impact of eviction.
