On August 12th, 2025, disaster struck my sister Leilah and her husband Rob. A sudden and destructive flood tore through parts of Chattanooga, leaving their home devastated. Within hours, years of hard work and cherished memories were damaged beyond recognition.

The flood destroyed their HVAC system, ductwork, flooring, walls, and more — turning their home into an unsafe, unlivable space. Repair estimates are already over $50,000. But here’s the crushing part: because their home isn’t in a floodplain, insurance will not cover anything.

They’ve lost so much in one day, and without help, they can’t rebuild.

Leilah and Rob are the kind of people who give without ever asking for anything in return — always showing up for friends, family, and neighbors. Now, they are facing the hardest chapter of their lives and truly need us to show up for them.
