Early Tuesday morning, May 18, Leilah Cunningham was on a party bus celebrating her friend’s birthday when a car approached the moving bus and started shooting. The shooters followed the fleeing bus and continued their attack. Leilah was hit multiple times. She is now in the ICU in critical condition with a long road ahead of her.  She has already had several surgeries with many more to come. At only 20 years old, Leilah is fighting for her life.

Leilah’s mother, Aminah Cunningham, has had to take leave from work to cope & care for Leilah during this tragic time.  As medical care (including surgeries) continue, bills pile up. This is in addition to the financial responsibility of having a home & raising two younger children.
