Help Leighton’s family during this time of need.

Leighton Christopher was born May 9 of 2025. On June 8 he was admitted to Strong Memorial Hospital. He Has gone through various testing, blood test, virus test, spinal tap first few days. At that point he had NG tube put in.

Diagnosis ranged from virus infection leading to failure to thrive

Doctors waited 1 week and 2 days to do anything although He was continuously losing weight which wasn’t addressed by doctors no matter how much we advocated until we told them he was going to be moved to another hospital , then they then began running tests on June 17th, he was then hypothermic on the night of June 17th which they told us he would be “watched” NICU sent a warming bed which was not used June 18th upon arrival at the NICU he was 95.4 and an emergency transport to the NICU floor was put into action. Currently they are testing his kidneys because he has kidney stones, they are testing for renal failure, genetic marks on kidney diseases, along with spinal tap, and metabolic testing, they have him on a warming bed to help hypothermia, he has a pic line in. His father Tyler has lost time at work due to being at the hospital for so long, the bills are mounting and it’s getting harder to fund transportation to him everyday. My son in law and daughter need help, every little bit helps. At this point there is not a release date for Leighton it could be two weeks or longer. Prognosis is unclear at this time.
