Help Leighton Lewis with post discharge care and needs

Hi, my name is Anne Hinely and I am the aunt of Leighton Lewis. On the morning of Monday, February 5th, Leighton was driving to work, when her car ran off the road and hit a large construction vehicle. It is a miracle she survived. I started this fundraiser for Leighton, because the extent of her injuries from the accident is severe. By the Grace of God, she did not have a brain injury, and she has been awake and conscious the whole time. However, that also means she is very aware of everything happening to her, and she is constantly in a great deal of pain.

Leighton is a fighter! She has been so brave and courageous each day, and she has tried so hard to stay positive and focus on her faith. But she needs your help! Even with her medical insurance, there is no way she can pay the cost of all the surgeries she has had so far. And the reality is, she still might need the amputation of her lower left leg. She will also be missing months of work, as she will have a long road of rehabilitation ahead. Leighton has been completely overwhelmed with the prayers coming from family, friends, and friends of friends. She reads each encouraging comment and takes it to heart. Update on me;

After getting crushed in a car wreck;

☝️☝️Reader discretion advised this post is brutal and explains in detail a lot of things that happened to me getting crushed in my car.

I have lost usage on all limbs from the wreck , but one not lost, but I can only use my left arm and hand. All my other limbs got crushed. And below are the details.

My left femur was crushed; which was put back together with screws and nails during a surgery that took a long time and seems to be doing OK

My left knee and particular is the worst and it hurts. I just got my latest surgery on it yesterday well like 12 hours ago; but I’m asking for prayer huge prayer for my left knee. It had an infection in it and that is why they had to do another surgery.

Side note;

(((((one huge problem with everything as well as I’ve wrecked in a construction zone off of interstate in the rain in the mud, and when they were recovered my body mud got into all my crushed bones and they were all open which caused a huge tissue so I’ve had a lot of surgery trying to get them clean first)))))

So please pray that I do not lose my left leg from the knee down. That is the ultimate worst case scenario and also pray because I have another surgery on it Sunday in two days so pray that they go in and nothing is infected again and nothing is wrong so that I get to keep my leg please Jesus please

So my right ankle got crushed, and luckily only the bottom of my leg; I say, luckily because there’s no knee femur or hip issues on that side, which makes it less painful and quicker healing because of the left knee. They postpone surgery on the right ankle, but I have  external fixation on it, so it doesn’t hurt at all except a little bit, thank the Lord✨

And similar with the right arm, my right arm got crushed they used a sticky plate to put all the bones back where they should be as best they could and they’re going to go back with x-rays and the future because if it all mended together correctly and healed, I can actually get the plate removed in 3 to 5 years if I want to

***** but my arm is healing. Well already the surgery on that went well and it’s been beautiful.

So, if you’re still reading, it was as if Jesus was hugging, my stomach and head there is no reason I shouldn’t have been fully crushed where my organs and head as well… And the fact no organs were damaged or touched saved my life

Edit adding another prayer request. Also my blood pressure will not get up past 90/60 which is causing issues with them wanting to not give me medication’s. I need to get through please pray… I have needed to get blood multiple times. I’ll probably need to get more soon from all the surgeries so just pray that Jesus fills me with what I need to be filled with and also keeps my health well during this.

I’m a lucky girl but I’m also a long way from full recovery I am asking for prayer prayer prayer and more prayer please that is it thank you for reading
